*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * 1. Teach The Princeton Review techniques and methods. 2. Ensure that students improve test scores. 3. Participate in school-based functions including faculty meetings, parent/teacher conferences, and other events as needed. 4. Participate in outreach events to attract students. 5. Address daily requests from students and parents via phone and email. 6. Proactively identify students not achieving goals and counsel them and/or their parents in order to assist them in reaching those goals. 7. Participate in The Princeton Review professional development workshops and staff meetings as scheduled. 8. Facilitate online student evaluations, interest inventories, and college searches and applications.
The Princeton Review instructors are also expected to: 1. Serve as the face of The Princeton Review on campus. 2. Keep all attendance records and notes on student behavior. 3. Adhere to all school policies regarding paperwork, procedures, and student behavior. 4. Schedule all SAT practice exams and locations with school administrators as determined by The Princeton Review. 5. Conduct, plan and/or assist with delivery of Parent and Student Roadmap to College Strategy Sessions on campus (2 at each school). Conduct, plan and/or assist with college admissions professional development seminars with Campus Faculty (2 at each school). 6. Ensure registration for the actual target SAT administration. Includes gathering fee waivers for those students who qualify and securing enough registration packs from counselors as needed for students enrolled in class. 7. Agree to complete a Criminal Background Check as required by TPR and the client. , Requirements: *QUALIFICATIONS: * 1. Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred 2. State Teaching Certificate (at any level and in any subject) preferred but not required 3. Experience as a teacher, tutor or counselor in public schools preferred but not required 4. Bilingualism (in Spanish) preferred, but not required 5. A strong passion to help students achieve their educational goals 6. Strong organizational skills 7. Ability to communicate in front of a group effectively 8. Ability to clearly communicate your ideas and lessons 9. Ability to engage, motivate, and discipline students 10. Strong scores on a applicable standardized test 11. Capable of managing and balancing a substantial variety of responsibilities 12. Strong written and oral communication skills as well as customer service skills 13. Must have knowledge of admissions tests or the college admission process 14. Strong leadership qualities and an interest in moving into a curriculum or training role 15. Ability to work in a team environment
