AT&T is seeking a Senior Product Manager – M2M Application Platform within the Advanced Mobility Solutions team. . This role will advance m2m application platform strategy, and marketing efforts as part of AT&T's successful Enterprise team focused on the Connected Device market, commonly known as Machine-to-Machine (M2M).
You will leverage your experience in wireless and information technology to create and extend offers targeted at enterprises and independent software developers. This position requires strategic planning, product design, product management, and marketing program development skills. Business acumen, technical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to partner effectively, and a passion to win are key for this role.
You will be responsible for advance AT&T's strategy by working directly with potential partners, including advancing AT&T's stature within the ecosystem through speaking events at IT and Telecom industry conferences, and engaging with industry analysts.
Primary Responsibilities
Think strategically, identify opportunities, and deliver new offers to meet customer needs. Use primary and secondary market research to assess market opportunities and customer needs to define new AT&T products and offers. Conduct competitive analysis to assess AT&T relative market share and competitive pricing, promotion, distribution, and product strategies
Develop strategic intent documents, product service descriptions, requirements documents, and market positioning for customer-self service platforms
Drive product needs through the AT&T Product Realization Process. Partner with a wide spectrum of internal business stakeholders, including product development, operations, supply chain and business development to ensure all product development needs are executed on time and at a high standard
Define the product roadmap, strategy, user experience, offer requirements, pricing, communication and enhanced services and promotional opportunities
Direct and support cross functional team members in development of marketing communications materials
Monitor and assess competitor capabilities in comparison to AT&T, and anticipate customer needs and market trends
Work collaboratively with enterprise sales force to achieve goals
Set business performance targets and execute on programs and products to achieve customer sales and retention goals and drive business results
Set and balance multiple and diverse priorities. Manage scope and provide actionable guidance to ensure delivery. Ensure all deliverables are executed on time and at a high standard. Participate in multiple, simultaneous projects in various capacities ranging from managing product lifecycle enhancements and strategic architecture reviews, to updating sales literature and improving customer-facing technical literature
Develop developer strategies to enable customers to access the ATT m2m platform, collaborating with AT&T developer community, and external partners to create developer tools/resources
Collaborate with external organizations, AT&T developer community, and external partners to create developer tools/resources for AT&T customers, including supporting white papers and case studies
Give presentations to our executive and decision-making internal and external clients
Education
BS required
MS or MBA preferred
Experience
5 years Product Management or Product Development experience required
5 years experience in Information Technology role, or equivalent required
5 years experience in the wireless industry, or equivalent required
Experience in creating forecasts, business cases and marketing plans required
Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams of business and technical managers required.
Experience working with senior management preferred
