In this entry level role, the Associate Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily activities of the Safeguard Channel Marketing team. This may entail completing assignments for Channel Marketing Specialists, Channel Marketing Director or working directly with internal clients to meet objectives. Typical assignments will be focused on managing the tactical execution of marketing programs for Safeguard customers on behalf of distributors, including overall program management, working with creative services and Compass to manage various marketing elements' production, and working with the sales team to implement and manage programs successfully. This role will have a significant focus on direct marketing (mail and email) and automated marketing programs.
Assist Channel Marketing Specialists and Channel Marketing Director in day-to-day project management of marketing communications activities and program measurement. Manage the tactical implementation of marketing programs and marketing communications. Ensure all marketing communications are in compliance with Safeguard and/or Deluxe branding standards.
Work directly with internal clients, e.g. sales people to help understand account objectives, and in turn establishing clear marketing objectives, strategies and tactics.
Assist with distribution of marketing communication materials. Tracks and reports costs.
Assist sales and marketing team in identifying specific prospect companies to contact for new business efforts.
Provide support to Channel Marketing Specialists and Channel Marketing Director as needed.
Monitor performance of marketing plans implemented.
Assist with managing schedule and work-flow issues.
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
0-2 years of Marketing experience
Knowledge of marketing communications and ability to apply learnings to daily work
A detail orientation, ability to prioritize work and clearly communicate
Ability to work well with others at various levels
Execution focus with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Must be hands-on with all facets of job with ability to think tactically
Must be self-motivated and able to drive and run programs independently
Strong project management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills
Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Compass
