Texas Employer Diabetes Coordinator in EAGLE PASS, Texas

Provides diabetes education and nursing services to the Native American community as part of a comprehensive health program. Provides services as specified in the grant for Special Diabetes Program for Community (SPDI). Completes the required data for the Diabetic Audit Report (DART) and submit report timely. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing. Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Current CPR certification required. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATION: Current license in good standing as a licensed Vocational Nurse from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two to three years of nursing experience preferred including working with diabetic patients. Knowledge of Kickapoo culture and/or language preferred but not required. Native American preference is observed.
