Job Description Team position: Communications Instructor

This position is contingent upon funding release; anticipated July 2013.
Serve as the Communications instructor/Developer for THAAD Fire Control and Communications Course (TFCC) in accordance with Task and Skills Analysis curriculum development regulations. Serve as an assistance instructor for the THAAD System Administrators Course and THAAD Battery Support Center (BSC) Course. Emphasis is placed on all aspects of THAAD communications. Equipment includes SINCGARS, PSC-5, and MIDS radios to include CDLIM (Common Data Link Interface Module), and CUI (Common User Interface). In addition, teach the connectivity, and inter-workings of the Link 16 and SATCOM networks, which are the primary sources of digital information needed for THAAD engagement/force operations. Responsible for safe handling, storage and operations of CCI (Controlled Cryptographic Items) such as the SKL (Simple Key Loader) AN/PYQ-10, ANCYZ-10 (ANCD), along with up to 31 classified hard drives needed for secure and non-secure communications. Must understand the inter-workings of THAAD Transmission Protocols such as 3011C, 3011B, SAT-J, Serial J and X.25 used to transmit THAAD message traffic. Train customer on proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and remove and replace procedures on all equipment associated with the THAAD communication equipment. Serve as a primary instructor for the Battery Support Center (BSC), as well as assistant developer/instructor for the THAAD System Administration Course. Additional duties include supporting the efforts of training personnel throughout Task and Skills Analysis (TASA), curriculum development, Computer Based Training (CBT), Computer Web Based Instruction (C/WBI), materials development, and validation as directed by THAAD Program Manager. Keep customer and fellow instructors up to date on any hardware/software changes to the THAAD weapon system. The selected candidate must possess a valid state Driver’s License and be able to obtain both a commercial driver license (CDL) and a military driver's license. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The successful candidate may be required to work overtime and non-standard shifts as necessary. The employment location is initially located at Fort Bliss, Texas but may move to other U.S. Army Installations located within the United States. Must be able to walk, kneel, bend and stoop, and have correctable vision. Any offer of employment is contingent upon agreement to and/or successful completion of all of the above conditions / stipulations.
All personnel must comply with Lockheed Martin and customer required standards of conduct and employment and physical suitability criteria.
Basic Qualifications -THAAD or Air and Missile Defense Experience in Force and Engagement Operations.
-Active Secret Clearance.
-Previous Instructor experience.
-Experience with Training Curriculum Development.
-Experience with Instructional Systems Design (ISD).
-Ability to obtain a class A CDL.
-Experience with Task and Skills Analysis (TASA), Computer Based Training (CBT), and Computer Web Based Instruction (C/WBI).
-Extensive knowledge and experience working with all MS Office software.
-Excellent communication skills and experience working with US Army military and government personnel at all levels.
Desired skills Experience on the THAAD system.
-Experience and Knowledge of US Air and Missile Defense operations.
-Ability to quickly master new technical and training applications.
-Ability to become Security+ Certified.
