Lockheed Martin Business Development and Strategy Principal - Integrated Air & Missile Defense in Grand Prairie, Texas

Strategy & Business Development Principal for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) programs supporting the IAMD Line of Business, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Areas of responsibility include all U.S. Armed Forces Air and Missile Defense weapons and systems developed or fielded by MFC. Responsible to work side-by side with Program Management and engineering team members to translate customer needs (current and anticipated) into discriminating technical and business solutions for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control product lines. This role is responsible for assessing customer strategic capability gap requirements and advocating technology solutions, planning, business opportunity identification and validation, capture plan development and execution, and customer interaction management. This role focuses on new business captures in defense sciences and technology, specifically focusing on Defense Department and Services Research and Development Activities; Science and Technology Centers, DARPA and other advanced technology activities of the US. Government.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related disciplines

Minimum 20 years’ experience in U.S. military, U.S. Government, or technology based industry.

Subject matter expert on U.S. Armed Forces Air and Missile Defense (AMD) programs with specific area of expertise in Patriot, PAC-3, and the AIAMD program of record.

Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and proven success leading within high-performing organizations

Possess a high degree of technical and operational knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense weapons systems, sensors and military advanced technologies.

Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, engineers, Department of Defense officials and Functional employees.

Possess experience and a current working knowledge of DoD Acquisition process and DoD Directive 5000.1, the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Army Air and Missile Defense Combat Developments process.

Previous experience with the U.S. Army and MDA Program Objective Memorandums (POMs), acquisition and procurement business processes, and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures to align strategic objectives and capture strategies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government.

Ability to obtain US Government Top Secret clearance.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Desired skills Master’s degree in Business Administration or related disciplines Superior knowledge of U.S. Armed Forces AMD operational strategy, tactical employment and modernization strategy.

Superior knowledge of U.S. Army and Missile Defense Agency Program Objective Memorandum (POM) build, acquisition and procurement business processes and U.S. Armed Forces Service cultures.

Superior understanding of the Department of Defense and U.S. Army budgeting and acquisition processes

Knowledgeable of linkage and coordination between U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence, Program Executive Office, Missiles and Space programs of record and Air and Missile Defense program operations in the Pentagon.

Effective Team Player – Outstanding organizational ability and demonstrated excellence motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives.

Previous military experience operating at senior levels
