A subject matter expert in the industry, the Applications Technical Advisor will demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problems during the development and application of new and improved products and processes. In this role you have the ability to design and implement complex multi-well reservoir and wellbore fluid treatment and placement applications, and experience developing and regularly implementing advanced reservoir engineering techniques in areas of production decline analysis, well test analysis, fluid flow in porous media, and production simulation.
•Completion of a doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Computational Mathematics, or Computational Engineering
•Minimum of 2 years of experience developing CFD software
•Proven ability to write large complex software in C/C++
•Develop innovative products, processes which incorporate reliability, quality, and safety requirements
•Provide consultation and technology transfers to internal and external peers on numerical modeling
•Manage numerical development projects from concept to production
•Familiarity Microsoft software development tools
•Familiarity with parallel programming such as OpenMP
•Familiarity with symbolic mathematics such as Mathmatica
