Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are to structure credit to market (asset quality and competitiveness balanced), developing financial models and projections for term debt and transactions, negotiating credit (with Client Manager and/or Credit Products Officer involved as needed), underwriting credit, gaining credit approval, etc. The Assistant Credit Products Officer will assist with credit activities associated with Commercial Banking (Large Middle Market and C&I) relationships with aggregate debt exposure greater than $15MM. These relationships involve complex, syndicated, and highly valued credits.A. Structure credit to market (asset quality and competitiveness balanced)
B. Conduct financial modeling (projections for term debt and transactions)
C. Underwrite credit (new / renewals / modifications)
D. Gain credit approval (with Client Manager or Relationship Manager as sponsor)
E. Complete due diligence
F. Negotiate credit (with Client Manager or Relationship Manager involved as needed)
G. Reviewing closing documents and ensuring proper booking of transactions
H. Monitor financial statements, borrowing base, covenant compliance, exception management overdrafts and ACH approvals
I. Contribute to client planning sessions
J. Work with Client Managers or Relationship Managers to structure idea pitches
K. With Client Manager or Relationship Manager, perform relationship reviews to determine appropriateness and competitiveness of credit package
L. Train Credit Products associates, as instructed by Credit Products Officer or Manager
M. Identify cross-sell opportunities
N. Call on key clients and prospects as necessary and in concert with the Client Strategy
O. Travel as necessary
Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor?s degree in business administration with emphasis in management, accounting, finance, or a related field.
Assistant Credit Product Officer II:
Individuals typically have 3-5 years of experience in account relationship management.
All candidates will have exposure and knowledge of senior debt markets and broader capital markets including credit underwriting, structuring, negotiation, syndicated/ complex credits, and cross-selling opportunities. Formal credit or commercial loan training is a plus. Candidates must possess superior verbal, written, and organizational skills. Individuals must be able to prioritize tasks demonstrating both management skills and ability to achieve communicated deadlines. High integrity and respect for confidentiality are invaluable. Excellent computer skills in Windows, understanding of business and personal financial statements, good phone and presentation skills required.
