Effective verbal and written communication skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Two - four years experience with hardware and software installation and maintenance
Minimum Two - four years experience in a user support role
Four years of Information Technology and two years of Information Security job experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred or Associates degree can substituted for Bachelor's degree, with equvalent experience.
MCSE, MCITP, A+, Network +, Server +, Security +, CCNA certifications are preferred. Must be able to obtain at least one of the following within 6 months of employment; MCITP, A+, Server +, and/or Security + certification, with expectation to continue to pursue certifcations on an on-going basis.
Must be able to obtain a minimum of a Secret level government clearance.
Ability to quickly understand wide variety of windows software applications.
Expertise in workstation installation, configuration, service and process automation, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance
Application kowledge including installation, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office products, Sophos AV and encryption, Adobe products, and Apple and Android devices
Understanding of internet standards such as - DNS, SSL, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, DFS and other protocols
Hardware support for peripheral devices including printers, scanners, video and teleconference equipment
Network hardware including experience with switches, wireless controllers, and basic network troubleshooting
Windows client and server administration experience
Linux client and server administration experience a plus
VOIP phone system experience
