We are looking for a Marketing Manager that has a background in Specialty Monomers
This is a full time direct hire position based in Houston. They will provide relocation for the right candidate.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering. MBA is a plus.
5 years’ experience in marketing and/or sales
Strong business and financial acumen, and in depth understanding of financial analysis.
Experience in strategy formulation & implementation, as well as development of product & segment marketing plans.
Experience in the acrylics value chain with understanding in some application areas (Coatings, Adhesives, Personnel Care or Oil Field).
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills at different hierarchy levels to establish internal and external relationships are required for this job
The Specialty Monomers Marketing Manager is responsible in the North American region for the development and implementation of short, medium and long term Strategies, Segment and Product Marketing Plans, and pricing. Besides interaction with merchant customers, a close collaboration is required with the New Business Development Manager, Sales, Controlling, Product Management, and with internal downstream divisions, as well as corporate functions such as legal, Purchasing, Credit. Significant interaction with global counterparts is also required.
The core responsibility of this position is to ensure profitable positioning & growth of new & existing customers and within Company value chains, with existing and new products and customers in all strategically relevant markets, applications, technologies and territories.
Responsible for marketing of the Specialty Monomers product line with merchant customers and internal downstream users to ensure sustained long term growth.
Responsible for the formulation and implementation of market and product strategies for the region that maximizes financial results and complements the global strategy
Responsible for securing the necessary market and competitor intelligence by monitoring the market environment, price developments, tracking of selected related industry segments, dynamics and trends on key raw materials, technology trends and changes, competitive landscape, imports and exports balances. .
Strong interaction with the New Business Development Manager and Sales team as well as with counterparts in other regions
Responsible for the marketing interaction with the downstream users by developing formal presentations, collecting and understanding long term internal demand, exchange of market
intelligence, developing joint projects and joint market approaches for the benefit of the value chain
Maintains and fosters relationships with customers, consultants & industry associations
