DUTIES: Perform mechanical engineering analysis and design of various downhole drilling instruments and logging while drilling tools. Provide feedback to Manufacturing and Quality Control to resolve quality issues with purchase components applicable to his product lines. Perform testing of new designs to assure functionality prior to deployment. Perform failure analysis to support continuous improvement of products. Provide design review and feedback for new designs. Provide engineering support for the following products: Formation Evaluation While Drilling (FEWD) intersub connectors, Drill Doc- Downhole Weight on Bit - Torque on Bit tools, Solar 175 Gamma, Directional, and Telemetry sondes, and XHT - Base services. Will travel to local vendors.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 7 years of progressive mechanical design experience.
