Responsibilities:

The Senior Consultant will have primary responsibility for the successful execution of the components (or milestones) that comprise consulting engagements. In addition, the Senior Consultant will have the skill and experience necessary to manage project activities with other Consulting Services employees and to manage the execution of project components in the absence of a Principal.

The Senior Consultant will also be instrumental in the creation of engagement deliverables that may consist of benchmark assessments of client information governance programs and program roadmap development and presentations.

In addition, the Senior Consultant will assist the Principal with customer communication, milestone and timeline management, presentations, problem resolution, and monitoring overall client satisfaction.

With respect to consulting projects and deliverables, the Consultant will play a role in the following:

  • Support development and delivery of information governance assessments and remediation for global clients using tools for unstructured and structured data analytics and archiving as well as enterprise content management and electronic records management

  • Development of current state assessments and future state visions for IG programs

  • Development of governance operating models and IG policy and procedure

  • Development of IG future state business cases

  • Deliver high-quality work product in accordance with methodologies and timelines

The Senior Consultant provides vision, thought leadership and overarching guidance for enterprise IG projects with significant data strategy implications. Has a track record of successful results and background in leading large scale data management programs with Fortune 500 companies. Established trusted advisor relationships with senior client business and technology executives in the industry.

Must have extensive experience in the different data types and appropriate technology associated with them structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) and have the vision to build a multi-year data/content/records management strategy and plan including aspects of infrastructure, platform, middleware and applications. Must have experience with key compliance aspects of information governance including retention, privacy, security and legal holds/eDiscovery. Have CXO level presence and ability to build relationships across organizations to gain buy-in on multi-phased roadmaps and governance.

Qualifications:

  • Support business development activities, providing responsible consulting delivery leadership in discovering and shaping opportunities, solution development, proposal generation, and deal closing stages

  • Lead consulting engagements, managing client expectations, and engagement staffing, issues and risks, contract change control, internal operational processes Radiate within assigned client organizations to identify, quantify, and close additional business leveraging engagement successes, developing key relationships, and promoting Iron Mountain capabilities and offerings.

  • Work effectively with internal sales, operations and finance teams, and establish/maintain productive relationships with Iron Mountain partners

  • Evaluate and mentor assigned consultants in terms of business, technical and consulting skills. Build and maintain high performing, team-oriented, client-focused working environments

  • Contribute to knowledge management, solution development, and thought leadership by capturing and sharing Information Governance best practices, repeatable solutions/components, and go-to-market materials

Skills: Overall Data Strategy

  • Able to build multi-year roadmaps across different functional areas aligned to a business capabilities, and the overall enterprise architecture

  • Able to drive data strategy through demand management, governance, design, and implementation, acting as advisor to IT teams

  • Understands real-time analytics, complex event processing, data warehouses, business intelligence, etc.

  • Hands on skills with tools for remediating redundant, trivial and obsolete data and content in enterprise applications and repositories

  • Familiar with the interaction between data, middleware, as part of an automated content management/governance strategy

Experience:

  • Supported business development activities, providing responsible consulting delivery leadership in discovering and shaping opportunities, solution development, proposal generation, and deal closing stages

  • Led consulting engagements, managing client expectations, and engagement staffing, issues and risks, contract change control, internal operational processes

  • Managed a minimum of $4-5 million/year in consulting services revenue, meeting established profitability and utilization targets

  • Developed Data Management strategies

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years information management industry consulting experience

  • STEM degree and/or equivalent experience, plus JD, MLIS and/or professional industry certifications, such as Certified Records Manager (CRM) Information Governance Professional (IGP), or MLS (Master of Library Science) is preferred

  • Hands on experience with predictive analytics based tools for unstructured data management and classification
