Prepare requisitions for inquiry and purchase of instrumentation, control systems, and subcontracts. Prepare instrumentation and Control Systems job specification. Prepare technical bid tabulations and technical evaluations for instrumentation, control systems, bulk commodities and subcontracts associated with the discipline in cooperation with the Procurement Department. Perform engineering calculations and analysis as required by the Control Systems Department. Review Engineering Flow Diagrams/Auxiliary Flow Diagrams as well as depict and number instruments. Design control room and remote instrument enclosure location and layout. Develop Master Loop Diagrams. Review plot plans. Coordinate with and provide liaison with client personnel related to the Control Systems activities as delegated by the Project Manager. Expedite the receipt of, soliciting comments, and review and approve vendor drawings. Develop Control Narratives and Logic Diagrams, Cause and effect Matrixes . Develop and review instrument index. Direct and observe factory acceptance testing of equipment in coordination with the Procurement Department. Develop SIS/SIL Analysis and Determination. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or 8 years of experience as a Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer or any other job title perfroming all listed job duties.
