Position Description
BMC Software is seeking an experienced candidate with knowledge of Remedy AR System, ITSM Solution and related BMC OnDemand Solutions to join the BMC OnDemand team
This position will work very closely with:
• BMC OnDemand Customers
• BMC Professional Services and other BMC / Partner teams to ensure that
• OnDemand Support teams including Database, Networking, Security, and Wintel
• OnDemand Vendors
• Support personnel located globally
Key Primary Responsibilities
• Work on the Change Requests submitted by external customers on all environments
•Work on the BMC initiated change requests like Hot fixes, patching, bug fixing
• Implement the changes by following the standard operating procedure for Change Management
•Work on SRD migration, CMDB configuration changes, Code Migrations, DB migrations, Environment migrations,
• Should understand and implement key concepts like FTS, Server Grouping, CMDB, MT configurations
• should have basic concepts clear on Virtualization
•Should work on basic troubleshooting on VM’s and Databases
• Will need to document any challenges and / or issues and work on the resolution or escalate where appropriate
• Will coordinate with cross functional groups to get the required work done
Secondary Responsibilities
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
• Work as a production support (Operations) resource whenever required and necessary
• Deliver assigned deliverables, meet SLA's and Customer Satisfaction ratings.
• Execute changes by adhering to a documented Change Management process
• Join outage calls and resolve issues with complete ownership
• Participate in problem resolution and provide solutions
• Attend all required and mandatory daily meetings.
Position Requirements
.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Information Technology or Business Systems related discipline.
• Will be a subject matter expert with experience of 3-5 years in two (2) or more of the following: Remedy AR, ITSM Suite, ITIL processes, BMC OnDemand solutions (like Analytics, Dashboards, ITBM and Mobility)
• Hands on Experience with Integrations, Authentication and Network Connectivity to the OnDemand solution
•Considerable experience on SQL DB, Wintel Application, and Infrastructure knowledge
Previous experience working in a Customer facing role and / or 24*7 Operations
• Experience and ability to manage to critical deadlines and working under time constraints
• Working knowledge of Incident, Change and Problem management processes
• Strong communication skills (Written and verbal)
• Project Management skills
• Ability to work in a matrix organization
• ITIL certification preferable
This position is part of a 24X7 operational support model and will include weekend and after hour work as needed
