Job DescriptionSupports the Human Resources Department, which may include recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, and training. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Records information and answers questions about employee absences and supervisory reports on employee job performance. Performs various clerical duties (i.e. make copies, file documents). May respond to written inquiries from the public, send out announcements of job openings or job examinations, and issue application forms. May screen job applicants to obtain information such as their education and work experience; administer aptitude, personality, and interest tests; explain employment policies and refer qualified applicants to the employing official; and request references from present or past employers.
