_General Statement of Duties:_ The Director has the overall responsibility for operations and maintenance of the Hospital/ Medical Office Buildings. The Director will coordinate and direct the department to ensure continuous efficient and economical operations of the hospital’s building and equipment. The role of the Director is directing and managing the department staff to assure quality service and promoting teamwork. The Director is responsible for the department meeting JCAHO Standards, complying with hospital policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment.
_Minimum Education and Experience:_ Associates Degree or 2 years of technical school is required; in lieu of education, a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role will be considered with a required minimum of 3 years experience in a healthcare environment.

- The individual performing the physical survey of the facility and completing the SOC must have an appropriate educational or background or be qualified through a combination of experience and training. Acceptable qualifications can be established through a combination of a minimum of the following:
- 10 years experience in the management of a healthcare facility, formal training (through continuation of seminars, attendance or certification examination) in NFPA 101, 99, 90A, 72 and 13, or certification as a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM).
