Based just West of Fort Worth, Texas we are one of the nation's top providers of LED drivers, retrofit kits, ballasts, lighting and power supplies. At our office we regularly innovate new systems to introduce into the lighting industry and once approved, we collaborate with an off shore team of engineers in China that manufacture our products!

Currently we are looking for Sr. Project Manger who is open to traveling to China about 4 times/year! If you are bilingual in Mandarin GREAT, but if you don't and are really experienced we will still consider you.

What You Will Be Doing

As our Sr. Project Manger you will work with a small team of QC Engineers to direct, mentor and innovate new products into our business model. We would like you to have an entrepreneurial, management and technical background in the LED Lighting Industry.

Entrepreneurial Work

  • New Product Development: Evaluate new opportunities that can help the company grow for the future

  • Continue to review processes (procedures) to determine how to improve our Quality Control Program

  • Monitor manufacturing quality both overseas and in our facility and look how we can improve.

  • Work to educate yourself with a complete understanding of the Lighting Industry needs including: Certification criteria, UL, Title 24, DLC to name a few

Project Management/Managerial Work

  • Manage QC technicians in mainland China factories along with OEMs factory managers to follow procedures, ECN updates and fill out proper documentation.

  • New Product Development: Manage companies and subcontract engineering on projects targeted to the strategic plan.

  • Trouble Shooting Defective product and analysis

  • Manage off site testing with UL, ETL or DLC testing

  • Technical support is being done to the company standards for customers and sales people.

  • Documentation is being filed out including: Part numbering, Spec Sheets, Filing process

Technical Work

  • Weekly reporting to President on updated project status

  • Monthly Reports: Quality, New Product Development Status to Plan, Budget Status

Position Specific Standards

  • Defect % both LED drivers and Light fixtures < 1% returns

  • Detailed factory technical product questions answered within 48 hour

  • RMA trouble shooting analysis complete in 7-10 days

  • Making sure all procedures are being followed correctly

  • Monthly Reports do by the 10th day of the following month

What You Need for this Position

  • 5+ years of product management experience

  • New Product Development

  • Personnel Management

  • Project Management

  • LED/Lighting Industry (LED Drivers, Light fixtures, circuit boards

  • Title 24 Certification

  • Experience with DesignLights Consortium (DLC Products)

  • Experience with ETL Certified Products

  • Experience UL Certified Products

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering is a MUST

  • Lighting experience is a PLUS

  • Bilingual in Mandarin is a PLUS

  • MUST BE willing to travel to China 1-4 times/year
