Bank of America Credit Risk Manager in Dallas, Texas
This individual will be part of the Enterprise Credit Risk Management team with primary emphasis on credit risk oversight for Small Business Lines and Loans. Key responsibilities will include providing credit risk approval of lending requests in a timely manner, this includes borrower level credit decisions as well as proposed changes to credit policy and credit processes; ongoing review of asset quality performance and preparation of portfolio level credit risk assessments.
The successful candidate will have significant Commercial credit analysis and underwriting experience. In this role, the individual will frequently interact with senior leaders across the Enterprise Credit Risk, the Small Business organization and with Regulators.
Required Skills and Experience:
7+ years of Commercial lending experience, including underwriting and/or approval of credit exposures
Strong partnering skills with ability to navigate across teams, eliminate roadblocks, drive consensus to achieve resolution and ensure successful execution
Able to develop and maintain strategic business relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with the commercial credit policies
Perform analysis to support credit policy development, evaluate credit models and monitoring credit performance to ensure adherence to credit risk appetite
Reviewing and analyzing performance trends in new loan book, as well as the SB Lines & Loans portfolio
Identify Responsible Growth opportunities within credit risk appetite
Participation in the oversight of pilot programs
Building and presenting performance dashboards with risk metrics to evaluate program performance within expectations
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other analytical discipline
Intermediate level proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel Desired Skills and Experience:
Credit Lending or Credit Risk experience in small business lending segment
Exposure to credit model development, Model Risk Management and consumer credit riskEnterprise Role OverviewThe position requires extensive knowledge and experience with the portfolio and product set to provide credit policy and portfolio management guidance to their business partners. Responsible for one or more production office/portfolios. Enforce Credit Risk Policy. Portfolio reviews, studies of industry practices, extensive knowledge of regulatory issues and ability to guide and lead associates to appropriate decisions are mandatory components of the position. May have credit approval authority, approving and providing expertise on highly complex or high value transactions. Staff at this level works directly with the business managers, product and marketing managers, Legal, regulatory and executive Risk Management. Provides guidance to junior associates.
