A Production Leader is an experienced landscaper working with minimal supervision. They manage and direct the activities of one or more team members at a job site. Prioritizes projects, assigns work tasks to Production Specialist at the job site. Monitors work quality and work schedules. Responsible for procurement of materials and maintaining written and electronic records of projects. They can operate a variety of landscape equipment and have complete working knowledge of horticulture practices. Insures team safety and provides training to team members. A licensed driver with three or more years of experience in landscape maintenance and landscape construction. This position will also perform all other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Must be a licensed driver and able to operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks, trailer combinations and heavy landscape machinery. Able to pass and required drug test background check. Three or more years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance. Thorough knowledge of commercial landscape standard practices, materials, tools and equipment utilized in assigned work areas such as street maintenance and public facility maintenance. Operates a variety of landscape equipment including but not limited to bed edger, commercial mower, blower, dump trailer, chain saw, line trimmer and tiller. Utilize all required PPE and follow OSHA/Safety Standards. Leadership skills including communications, motivation and performance feedback. Ability to assign and supervise the work of others, provide instruction, lead team and inspire confidence. Cares for equipment and notifies management of needed repairs. Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day. Communicates with outstanding professionalism with all personnel, supervisor, and customers always. Strives to work towards upward mobility and demonstrates positive daily attitude. To support and participate in the development, implementation, and refinement of our best practices in all areas of field operations and safety. To provide and maintain excellent customer service; internally and externally. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: Working knowledge of standard horticultural practices, including but not limited to planting, pruning and fertilization. Must have effective communication and comprehension skills. Excellent customer service skills are required for working with clients. Competency: 1. Employee will regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Employee is required to work in an outside environment with various climate changes during all four seasons.
