Within Consumer and Community Banking, the Digital IT team is responsible for setting and executing strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation across Chase Online and Mobile, helping to establish the best Digital banking customer experience in the industry.

As a QA Automation Developer within the Digital Data Services team you will contribute to high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications for the Chase Online customer base. You will contribute

to the development of both automated and manual test scripts and ongoing regression testing of a number of strategic software applications. The ability to communicate effectively is required as you will work closely with other groups both within and outside of Digital to coordinate testing efforts of your assigned application components to ensure the successful delivery of the


  • 6+ year experience in Agile Methodology and SDLC participating in SCRUM team as Test/QA Engineer.

  • 5+ years of hands on experience with Automation development using Selenium, Cucumber and/or Gherkin

  • Hands-on experience with testing SOAP/Rest services and test automation in web service level

  • Hands-on experience with Test Cycle Management tools like JIRA

  • Hands-on experience with validating the quality of data per business logic using SQL

  • Hands-on experience with database testing and automation with DB2, Cassandra and Hadoop Stack (Hive, Spark)

  • Hands-on experience with CI tools such as Jenkins / Bamboo

  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques and tools desired.

  • Can build and understand requirements and business modelling such as class diagram and activity/sequence diagram

  • Ability to read/comprehend automated scripting languages (e.g. Java.)

  • Must be detail oriented and capable of analyzing issues from the perspective of customers/users

  • Must work collaboratively with BSA/Developers and proactively identify defects during each iteration / Sprint

  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Team player

  • Good experience Online Banking Application and Data flow in different system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze Business Requirements and identify potential gaps

  • Translate functional and technical Stories Tech / Use Cases / Acceptance Criteria (corresponding to requirements) into Gherkin Test Scenarios and re-factor the same as needed.

  • Work with developers in designing a test strategy to integrate certain components of the application in the absence of a fully integrated flow

  • Identify regression candidates from scenarios automated.

  • Prepare Test Plans and test scripts

  • Prepare and Identify test data need.
