AT&T Specialist Project Engineer (Government) in San Antonio, Texas
Provides overall direction and leadership for the Network Operation Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC). Responsible for developing and executing implementation and manpower plans related to provisioning, monitoring, and solution delivery. Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of network and supporting infrastructure.
Develops, coordinates and monitors the operational procedures and processes of network engineering and operations staff to ensure reliable and timely design, installation and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Provides clear direction, tactical and strategic goals for the NOC / SOC related to infrastructure monitoring, triage and technical support. Allocates and assigns resources to meet the needs of project timelines and due dates.
Acts as third level support for all escalated issues.
Acts as liaison to other facets AT&T, such as Engineering, Operations, Customer Service and Management.
Develops procedures and appropriate training to improve operational support and reporting.
Implements formal cross-training processes.
Analyzes process performance using a continuous improvement philosophy to meet the operational needs of the organization.
Performs root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and implement operational changes.
Prepares and communicates status and performance reports to staff and other management teams.
Manages the performance of assigned network and system engineer staff
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: BS in technical field (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems). Working knowledge of virtualized server environments, such as VMWare. Working knowledge of various circuit technologies. Strong technical knowledge of the IP, MPLS, and Ethernet aggregation technologies. Experience with network systems automation tools and techniques related to provisioning and troubleshooting a heterogeneous network. Working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM.
Required Clearance: TS//SCI (Eligible)
Desired: Experience with configuring network health and monitoring tools. Excellent writing, communication and briefing skills. Compliance with DoDD 8140 certification standards.
